Answer:

ear King,

I am an explorer looking forward to embarking on a new expedition looking for new lands and riches for our land. In exchange, I am asking for the crown to pay for the cost of it.

If you pay the expedition, I would be able to go into new and unknown lands that may have natural resources. We can use them for the country's benefit. Also, it will allow my crew and me to buy the necessary equipment to defend ourselves in case of an assault.

In previous expeditions, explorers have not only found natural resources but also gold and silver. The chances to find more of it are high since previous explorations to neighboring lands have succeeded in their search. Paying for the exploration is beneficial since I can bring gold and plate to you and increase the county's wealth. It would be a little amount of money that you will have to invest to earn considerable benefits.

I hope that you agree to pay for the exploration since It is an offer that will benefit you and the country for the reasons mentioned above.

Yours sincerely,

Arthur Johnson.

Explanation:

In a persuasive letter, we have to convince the reader, in this case, to pay for our expedition. To do so, we have to name why it is a good idea to pay for it. We have to mention the benefits that the expedition will bring and show that it is a little investment for something bigger. We should not be demanding, and we have to use a friendly style but be confident.

13. I am not disturbing you,
stiks02 [169]

I looked this question up and found that we are supposed to complete the sentenced with the correct question tag.

Answer:

13. I am not disturbing you, am I?

14. Tom does his work very well, doesn't he?

16. She likes quiet places, doesn't she?

29. Most people cannot go to Africa, can they?

30. Finding a job isn't easy, is it?

Explanation:

Tag questions are placed at the end of a sentence with the purpose of confirming the information stated in the sentence. The basic rule is: if the sentence is negative, the tag question is positive. If the sentence is positive (affirmative), the tag question is negative. Example: You love me, don't you?

The tag question is formed by the auxiliary verb and a pronoun that refers to the subject of the sentence. For instance, if the sentence talks about James (a man), the pronoun is "he". If the sentence is about Janine (a woman), it is "she". Examples: James is happy, isn't he? / Janine is happy, isn't she?

The auxiliary for the simple present is "do" for the persons "I, you, we, they", and "does" for "he she it". The auxiliary for the past is "did" for all persons.

If the sentence has the verb "to be", then "to be" is the auxiliary.

In "have / has got", the auxiliary is "have / has".

In "there + to be", the auxiliary is "to be", and the subject is "there".

With modal verbs such as "can, could, may, should", the modal verbs are the auxiliary.

Examples:

- You cook well, don't you?

- Ellen didn't go to school, did she?

- She is a chef, isn't she?

- I have got to talk less, haven't I?

- There is a woman waiting outside, isn't there?

- You can play the guitar, can't you?

Which two parts of wuthering heights illstrate that hindley is willing to please wife
blondinia [14]

Answer:

The correct answers are B) Indeed he would have carpeted and papered a small spare room for a parlor; but his wife expressed such a pleasure at the white floor and huge glowing fireplace, at the pewter dishes and delf-case, and dog-kennel, and the wide space there was to move about in where they usually sat that he thought it unnecessary for her comfort, and so dropped the intention. And D) A few words from her evincing a dislike to Heathcliff were enough to rose in him and his old hatred of the boy. He drove him from their company to the servants, deprive him of the instructions of the curate, and insisted that he should labor out of doors instead; compelling him to do so as hard as any other lad on the farm.

In chapter 6 of “Whuthering Heights”, Hindley takes control of the place. Hindley and Frances, his wife rule Whutering Heights in a strict mode.
