Answer:

Selective perception.

Explanation:

The ability to focus our attention on certain stimuli while ignoring others is called selective perception. Selective perception is a type of cognitive bias that occurs in the perception process when the person, based on her/his expectations, selects an object of attention and disregards the remaining part of the information. The function of selective perception for the person resides in avoiding an overflow in the cognitive system due to the quantity and diversity of the information the person receives. This shows that selective perception has a double utility, since it filters important information for the subject and also eliminates excessive and unnecessary information for the person who receives it.

What social, economic, and material gains did African Americans make after the civil rights era? Why did some black Americans do
konstantin123 [22]
  • After the Civil Rights Era, many black people were able to thrive and make significant social, economic and material gains. Many African-Americans moved to cities in order to find better work opportunities. Others decided to pursue higher education, as institutions were more accepting of their enrolment. Many African-Americans joined the middle class and were able to buy houses in desirable areas.

  • There are many reasons why gains were not the same across the board. While many African-Americans took advantage of these opportunities, others were stuck in a cycle of poverty and oppression that originated during slavery. Others lived in communities where these opportunities were not available, or faced high levels of discrimination and racism.

  • The black community, as many other communities, has a class stratification. This means that many within the community belong to high classes, many others are middle class, and many are from the lower classes, regardless of the fact that they share the same skin colour. Because of this, sometimes tensions can arise within the community. Many people from the lower classes might resent higher ones, while people from the higher classes can sometimes fail to see the constraints that the lower classes have.

The ______ region of the body includes the head, neck, and trunk. multiple choice question. axial appendicular
hammer [34]

The Axial region of the body includes the head, neck, and trunk.

All of the bones in the head, neck, chest, and back are part of the axial skeleton, which serves as the body's vertical, central axis. It protects the heart, lungs, spinal cord, brain, and other vital organs.

Additionally, it is where the muscles that move the head, neck, and back attach, as well as the muscles that work on the shoulder and hip joints to move the respective limbs.

The skull, vertebral column, and thoracic cage are among the 80 bones that make up an adult's axial skeleton. There are 22 bones in the skull. Seven more bones, including the hyoid bone in the upper neck and the ear ossicles, are also connected to the head (three small bones found in each middle ear).

The 24 individual bones that make up the vertebral column as well as the fused vertebrae of the sacrum and coccyx make up the vertebral column. The sternum, the flattened bone of the front chest, and 12 pairs of ribs make up the thoracic cage.
