One way that we can help keep climate change from getting worse is by using public transportation rather than individual cars whenever possible.

Climate change is the result of carbon emissions in the atmosphere trapping heat that would normally leave through the ozone. One outcome of climate change is extreme weather — not just extreme heat or drought, but also tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and other disasters that used to happen just once in a blue moon.

Cars are responsible for 28 percent of carbon emissions in the United States. If each person rode the bus just one day a week, carbon emissions could be reduced by almost 40 percent.

Answer:

Review:

Climate change is the result of carbon emissions in the atmosphere trapping heat that would normally leave through the ozone.

These changes in heat affect the entire globe's climate but not always in the same way. One outcome of climate change is extreme weather - not just extreme heat or drought, but also tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and other disasters that used to happen just once in a blue moon. To reduce these problems, it is necessary for the population to take some steps to reduce the impact that these climate changes have.

One way that we can help keep climate change from getting worse is by using public transportation rather than individual cars whenever possible. That's because cars are responsible for 28 percent of carbon emissions in the United States. If each person rode the bus just one day a week, carbon emissions could be reduced by almost 40 percent.

In this case, we ask the collaboration of the population and the government to encourage this attitude to be taken, allowing our planet to receive better care.

Which statement shows bias?
VMariaS [17]

The correct answer is D. It's great that so many young girls can have successful careers as nurses.

Explanation:

Bias statements focus on personal opinions rather than facts or reality. Due to this, a bias statement supports a specific point of view and due to this can be incorrect. An example of a bias statement is " It's great that so many young girls can have successful careers as nurses" because in this sentence the author expresses his point of view about being a nurse. This personal perspective is showed through the word "great". Also, through this statement, the speaker suggests this career is mainly for girls, which is not only a personal opinion but an incorrect statement.

The pamphlet seeks to engage Americans in the fight against the British. Indeed, Paine wrote The American Crisis pamphlets during the early stages of the American Revolution that were very unfavorable to Americans and when their cause seemed more uncertain than ever. Support for the Revolution was waning and Paine intended to galvanize it in order to facilitate a turnaround of the current situation.

The analogy of winter intends to show the reader that as winter gives way to the new life of Spring, the initial struggles and defeats of the American Revolution would give life to victory. The use of the terms hope and virtue intend to show Americans that this was a just war against tyranny and that the alternative to victory was the death of democracy.
