I enjoy soccer when I look behind me and my entire team stands before me with exhausted faces, yet they still hold proud smiles. The feeling of running the damp and slightly muddy pitch fills me with an indescribable happiness, dispite the fact that I know I'll be worn to the home when I'm finished. It's the last five minutes of the game and the score is tied, there is nothing that could possible matter more in this moment. My legs are lead and my head is pounding with the rush of adrenaline, my teammate makes it up to the goal and takes a shot. The other teams goalie comes out and tries to catch the ball flying though the air, it's like everything is in slow motion. The ball slips though their gloved hands and hits the back of the net. The whistle goes off, we won the game. The team gathers around each other, sweaty and hot, but ecstatic nevertheless. We did it today, we only have tomorrow.
