Answer:

Sample Response: When I read silently, I read quickly and got the big picture of what was happening in the passage. When I read aloud the first time, I read slower, trying to pronounce the words correctly and chunking words together for meaning. When I read aloud, I was able to pay more attention to clues for tone. I read with better pacing and more expression, which helped me understand what the characters were feeling.

Answer:

Sample Response: When I read silently, I focused on punctuation, context, and words with strong emotions. This strategy helped me understand people's feelings. When I read aloud, I kept in mind that the author feels pained in the first paragraph. Then, I kept in mind the fact that when she realizes people are on her side, she feels joy and hope. By thinking about the tone, I understood how the same picture makes Melba feel two different ways.

What does Marin from (THE HOUSE ON MANGO STREET) teach us about gender roles????
Arada [10]
In The House on Mango Street, gender is portrayed as a social construction – something that people learn as they grow up, not something they're born with. Men have it easy on Mango Street – it's much easier for the male characters of the novel to live up to the gender role prescribed for them than it is for women.

Not that sure tbh

Read the sentences. snowshoeing is a popular activity in grand lake. snowmobiling is also a popular activity in grand lake. what
Vesnalui [34]

Forming a compound subject

A compound subject refers to a sentence that talks about two or more subjects. The two subjects are combined with a conjunction such as (and, or, neither).

By forming a compound subject the two sentences:"snowshoeing is a popular activity in grand lake. snowmobiling is also a popular activity in grand lake" can be combined into one sentence as follows:

"Snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular activities in grand land"

This new sentence now contains a compound subject (both snowshoeing and snowmobiling) which is separated by the conjunction "and".
