Write a letter to your uncle in America, informing him of your family and your community
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

It comes across to me that you come from a “hierarchy” culture where one would formally address an elder with respect. Here it is your uncle, whom I assume is an older gentleman, probably your parents’ older relative, living in a rural area with limited or no modern means of communication near by where he lives. Writing would be the next best thing. I would be happy to get a letter in the mail from my near and dear one who lives in another country.

I would start by saying,

Respected Uncle or Dearest Uncle….,

I hope you are doing well.

It has been a long time since we have seen each other. I remember my childhood when mummy and papa would bring us sometimes on our holidays to spend time with you. It was one of my best holdisays, and I want to visit again with mummy and my family so they too can have an experience of rural sunny life in ……..

I have not been out of the country (name your country) for some time now as I was tied down with some personal work at home and also my job kept me busy.

Now that I am able to free up some time, I thought about coming to visit you for a few weeks. First, mum was wanting to spend some quality time with you before she gets older and would not be able to travel later on alone; and second, since it is winter out here, this would be an opportune time to enjoy your sunny weather and be with you.

Uncle, I am mailing this letter to you today and we are all eagerly waiting to hear back from you soon, so we can make necessary travel arrangements.

Your nephew,

Karolina [17]

Answer: B) He is a very experienced hunter.

Explanation: In the given excerpt from "The Most Dangerous Game" we can see that Rainford is describing what happened in the scene of the hunting, even though he was not there. He describes all the steps the hunter followed,  and he explains the reasons behind them, this indicates us that Rainford is a very experienced hunter, so the correct answer is the corresponding to option B.

List three factors of cardiac transplantation
Inessa05 [86]
OBJECTIVES: To analyze the occurrence and types of neoplasias that have developed in patients submitted to orthotopic heart transplantation in the Cardiac Transplantation Program of the Paulista School of Medicine, Federal University of São Paulo.
METHODS: The present study presents an observational analysis of 106 patients submitted to orthotopic heart transplantation from November 1986 to September 2002, who survived for more than 30 days after the procedure. The immunosuppressive regimen consisted of triple therapy with cyclosporin A, azathioprine and corticosteroid. Only two patients received, in addition to triple therapy, the addition of orthoclone OKT-3. The mean follow-up period was 61.4 months. (variation from two months to 192 months).
RESULTS: Twenty-three patients (21.3%) developed neoplasias, of which 56.5% had skin neoplasms, 30.1% had solid tumors and 13.4% had post-transplantation lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD). The mean interval between transplantation and the diagnosis of neoplasia was: skin - 54.9 months, solid tumors - 24.8 months and DLPT - 70.3 months.
CONCLUSIONS: The occurrence of malignant neoplasms was relatively common in the analyzed population. Skin cancer prevailed in relation to other neoplasms and solid tumors were more diagnosed than lymphoproliferative diseases in this series of patients.
