I would say the correct answer is B. primitive man.
The point of the entire novel is that Buck is fighting his urges to go to the wilderness and succumb to his wild identity of a wolf. Thus, dreaming about the primitive man clearly portrays his struggle between his two identities, that of a domesticated dog and that of a wild wolf.

The answer is B. Buck often dreams of primitive man as he sleeps by the campfire.

EXPLANATION

Buck often dreams of primitive man as he sleeps by the campfire. The story of Buck came from a novel that is written by Jack London and it is titled The Call of The Wild. This novel’s setting is in Yukon, Canada. The time setting is from the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush. The Call of the Wild was published in the year of 1903. The main character of The Call of the Wild is a dog with a name Buck.

The story is focusing on Buck, from when he is stolen from his own home and ended up getting sold to be a service dog. He is then trained to be a sled dog in Alaska. Bucks ended up being a feral dog because of the environment that he lived in. Buck is forced to become a dominant dog so he can survive by his own. Buck ends up to go away from civilization and relies on his instinct. He then emerges as a leader in the wild.

Jake London has spent time for about a year in Yukon. He did this so he could do the best for the materials of his book. The story of Buck was first being serialized in summer 1903 through the Saturday Evening Post. The story was published into a book form after a month later. The book was popular and a success. This also gained a reputation for London. Buck’s story was then adapted into a film, and several cinematic adaptations about Buck was also created.

Answer:

Explanation:

The code of chivalry followed by knights in the Middle Ages entailed loyalty to God, the king, and one's lady. A knight was expected to show courage and courtesy and be true to his word.

Sir Gawain upholds the code throughout the plot of the narrative. Gawain’s actions throughout the narrative give evidence that he is a true knight as his chivalry is tested many times in the story.

He shows his loyalty when he steps forward to accept the Green Knight’s challenge in the place of Arthur. His courage and courtesy are reflected in his actions. He is a true knight, but he has his human weakness, as is seen when he falls prey to the temptations of Bertilak’s wife.

He does not tell Bertilak about the green girdle given by his wife to help him survive mortal attacks. However, he does not hide this fact, and he wears a green girdle as a constant reminder of his shame.
