PLS HELP In circle A, secant EC and tangent BC intersect at point C. mЕВ = 171° and mBD 83°. What is mBCD?
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

∠ BCD = 44°

Step-by-step explanation:

the secant- tangent angle BCD is half the difference of the intercepted arcs, so

∠ BCD = \frac{1}{2} (EB - BD) = \frac{1}{2} (171 - 83)° = \frac{1}{2} × 88° = 44°

At the Shoe Store the owner noticed that for every 8 pairs of shoes he says he sells 4 pairs of socks if the pattern continues H
Licemer1 [7]
Hello! I believe the answer is he will sell 28 pairs of socks!
        Here's how I got it :
                    1.) Make a fraction out of what you know so far ! So we know that for every 8 pairs of shoes he sells, he sells 4 pairs of socks. We can put this as a fraction this way :  4/8 , with socks being the numerator and shoes being the denominator.
                     2.) Since we're trying to figure out how many pairs of socks he sold, and we know he sold 56 pairs of shoes, we can set the next fraction up like this :          x / 56, with x being the # of pairs of socks we don't know, and 56 being the # of pairs of shoes we do know!
                     3.) Now, we can find how many pairs of socks he sold!
                          4/8 -->  x/56  . does that make sense?
                            56/8 is 7, so now multiply 4 by 7! That equals 28, which is your answer!
