Hello!

<h2>Answer: </h2>

23. 138 people voted for Nyemi, 69 people voted for Luke, and 23 people voted for Natalie.

24. Reina did not ride 11/16 of the rides.

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

23:

3 ÷ 5 = 0.6

230 × 0.6 = 138

230 × 0.3 = 69

230 × 0.1 = 23

24:

We know that Alberto rode 5/8 of the rides at the park, and Reina rode half of this.

5/8 × 1/2 = 5/16

16 - 5 = 11

How do I tell if an angle is supplementary or complementary?
muminat

Hello there!

It depends on what the angles add up to be. If they add up to be 90°, they are complementary. If they add up to be 180°, they are supplementary.

So, 90° = complementary

and 180° = supplementary

It's best to review it multiple times since it's easy to confuse them, or come up with your own little saying that'll work well depending on how you think you'd remember it best. For me, since 90° angles are also right angles, i just think: it is right to give some body a  complementary angle because complementary angle ... compliment .... get it? Anyways, not to confuse you, whatever works best for you! :) I hope I could help you today!

What is £300 divided in a ratio of 3:7?
kvasek [131]

in plain and short, we simply divide the whole £300 by (3+7), and distribute accordingly.

\bf 300\qquad 3:7\qquad \cfrac{3}{7}~\hspace{5em}\cfrac{3\cdot \frac{300}{3+7}}{7\cdot \frac{300}{3+7}}\implies \cfrac{3\cdot 30}{7\cdot 30}\implies \cfrac{90}{210}\implies 90:210
