Supplementary - same angle degree usually looks the same but flipped

Complementary - angles are side by side so if you have a straight line and there is a crooked line that goes in the middle of it and it makes two angles then those angles are complementary bc they are side by side

Hello there!

It depends on what the angles add up to be. If they add up to be 90°, they are complementary. If they add up to be 180°, they are supplementary.

So, 90° = complementary

and 180° = supplementary

It's best to review it multiple times since it's easy to confuse them, or come up with your own little saying that'll work well depending on how you think you'd remember it best. For me, since 90° angles are also right angles, i just think: it is right to give some body a  complementary angle because complementary angle ... compliment .... get it? Anyways, not to confuse you, whatever works best for you! :) I hope I could help you today!

Which phrase could be represented by this expression?
malfutka [58]

Answer:

  eight more than a fifth of a number

Step-by-step explanation:

k/5 is one-fifth of a number. When 8 is added to it, the result is ...

  eight more than a fifth of a number

_____

There is no multiplication by 5, so any phrasing with "five times" is incorrect.

The one-fifth multiplier is applied only to k, not to any sum.

in cooking 1 drop equals 1/6 of dash . if a recipe calls for 2/3 of a dash , how many drops would that be?
Aleks [24]
1 / (1/6) = x / (2/3)...1 drop to 1/6 dash = x drops to 2/3 dash
cross multiply
(1/6)(x) = (1)(2/3)
1/6x = 2/3
x = 2/3 * 6
x = 12/3 = 4 drops <==
