Answer:

x=6

Step-by-step explanation:

In a rectangle, all angles should be 90 degrees so, you need to solve the equation in the rectangle to 90 degrees. To do this, you first subtract 12 from 90 to get 78 then proceed to divide that by thirteen to isolate the x. Doing all of this should leave you with the answer x=6.

F a gambler rolls two dice and gets the sum of 7, he wins $20. if he gets a sum of 4, he wins $40. the cost of playing is $14. w
DaniilM [7]
The expectation of this game is that the house (casino) takes in roughly $3.83 every time someone plays, and after enough plays, they will typically always win.

We can determine this case by looking at all of the possibilities and how much you can win or lose off of each. There are 36 total cases for what can happen when we roll the dice. Of those 36 cases, 9 of them produce positive winnings and 27 of them produce losses.

To calculate the winnings, we need to look at what type they are. 6 of them will be 7's which earn the gambler $20. 3 of them would be 4's, which earns the gambler $40.

6($20) + 3($40)
$120 + $120
$240

Then we look at the losses. This is easier to calculate since every time the gambler loses, he losses exactly $14. There are 27 of these instances.

27($14)
$378

Now we can look at the average loss per game by subtracting the losses from the gains and finding the average.

(Winnings - losses)/options
($240 - 378)/36
$3.83

Factor the express using GCF <br> 1. 54x - 30<br> 2. 4+24
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

1) 6 (9x - 5)

2) 4 (1 + 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>1.</u>

54x - 30

The greatest common factor is 6, hence take out 6

6 (9x - 5)

<u>2.</u>

4 + 24

The greatest common factor is 4, take out 4

4 (1 + 6)

*I am not simplifying this because as per what is given, I am unsure if one of these numbers is actually a coefficient.

What is the slope of the line that contains the points (-7,5) and (-2, 3)?
MissTica

Hey there,

This question is asking us to find the slope using the given points. In order to do that we use the equation:

  • \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}  }{x_{2} - x_{1} }

Now we use the points and plug them into the equation above:

  • \frac{(3)-(5)}{(-2)-(-7)} = \frac{-2}{5}

Therefore the slope of the line that passes through the points (-7, 5) and (-2, 3) would be -\frac{2}{5}

Hope I helped,

Amna
