Consider any conic section and discuss an application of the conic that you find most interesting. Include an example of a mathe

matical equation that models the application. Also, describe why you think this application is relevant and beneficial to society. (Note: To share your equation in the discussion forum, you might need to write your equation as if you were entering it into a graphing calculator.)

There are four conics in the conics sections- Parabolas, Circles, Ellipses and Hyperbolas. Parabolas are really common in our daily lives. Parabolas can be found in most things we encounter everyday. Parabolas are formed when a football is kicked, a baseball is hit, a basketball hoop is made, dolphins jump and much more. Equation:  (x - h)2 = 4p (y - k)This is relevant because it can help in measuring the area of a court.

Making coconut cookies. The recipe calls for 420 g of coconut and 120 g of sugar. Only has 252 g of coconut. How much sugar must
geniusboy [140]

Answer: 72 grams.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let be "s" the amount of sugar in grams that  must be used for 252 grams of coconut to keep the same ratio of coconut to sugar.

Knowing that in the recipe for the coconut cookies, should be 420 grams of coconut and 120 grams of sugar, and you only have 252 grams of coconut, you can set up this proportion to find "s":

\frac{420grams}{120grams}=\frac{252grams}{s}

Now, you need to solve for "s":

\frac{420grams}{120grams}=\frac{252grams}{s}\\\\s(\frac{420grams}{120grams})=252grams\\\\s=(252grams)(\frac{120grams}{420grams})\\\\s=72grams

Hey guys i need help plz will give brainlist
nadya68 [22]

Step-by-step explanation:

Effective resistance in the 30Ω and 40Ω parallel circuit = 1 / (1/30 + 1/40) = 120/7 Ω.

20Ω + 10Ω = 30Ω

Effective resistance in the 50Ω and (20Ω + 10Ω) parallel circuit = 1 / (1/50 + 1/30) = 75/4 Ω.

Now we can add the resistances up:

Effective resistance for circuit

= 120/7 Ω + 75/4 Ω = 1005/28 Ω.

Hence I = V / R

= 9.0V / (1005/28 Ω) = 0.25A. (2s.f.)
