Answer:

Barren - Having little vegetation

Explanation:

I think it has little vegetation because the text says that <em>the land </em>was barren and desolate. It also says "Those two trees were the only plant life he could see. There weren't even weeds." The author is describing the little vegetation in the area.

Answer:

\huge \fbox \pink {A}\huge \fbox \green {n}\huge \fbox \blue {s}\huge \fbox \red {w}\huge \fbox \purple {e}\huge \fbox \orange {r}

The meaning of barren will be <u>completely</u><u> </u><u>empty </u>in this sentence.

Explanation:

The paragraph further says that there were only 2 trees & those were the only plant life he could see. You can hardly call that as vegetation.

sergejj [24]
Foreshadowing means having an indication of a future event. To foreshadow is to signify, or be warned of a future event.

RICHARD III (Duke of Gloucester): Go, tread the path that thou shalt ne'er return.
Simple, plain Clarence! I do love thee so,
That I will shortly send thy soul to heaven,
If heaven will take the present at our hands.
<span>But who comes here? the new-deliver'd Hastings?
</span>
This text implies that Clarence will face death and that Richard will be the one to send him to die.

Abraham Lincoln create a somewhat spiritual tone in his Gettysburg address what words from this sentence best demonstrate that t
Lostsunrise [7]
I've actually mastered memorizing the Gettysburg address in 7th grade and now I'm going to 8th grade and the tone that Abraham Lincoln used as he read his speech was a calm but serious tone. In his speech(mid half of his speech) he said " we are met on a great battlefield of that war. " and "we have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that, that nation might live" you notice that his tone in those two main parts are calm and serious. This also applies to the rest of the speech. Lincoln's speech is one of the greatest speech of all times because his speech was a message to the soldier's both from the Union and Confederates side who fought in Gettysburg. I hope this message answers your question.
