I believe it is C because each letter is simply standing for the variable you are missing. So basically, 5 frisbees * the cost of frisbees added to 3 volleyballs * the cost of volleyballs will create the total of $36 --> 5f + 3v = $36. This applies to the 2 and 7 as well, I hope this helps :)
