What does ’Caesar introduced new loss’ mean
Brut [27]

Answer:

The first conspirator greeted Caesar, then plunged a knife into his neck. Other stabbers followed suit. One by one, several members of the Senate took turns stabbing Julius Caesar (100-44 B.C.E.), the dictator of the entire Roman Empire.

Stunned that even his good friend Brutus was in on the plot, Caesar choked out his final words: "'kai su, teknon?" ("You too, my child?").

On the steps of the Senate, the most powerful man in the ancient world died in a pool of his own blood.

Explanation:

Julius Caesar

In William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, the title character manages to utter "Et tu, Brute?" ("and you, Brutus?") as he is slain. This is not historically accurate.

According to the 1st century C.E. Roman historian Suetonius, Julius Caesar spoke mainly Greek and not Latin, as was the case with most patricians at the time. In his history about the life of Julius Caesar, Suetonius writes that as the assassins plunged their daggers into the dictator, Caesar saw Brutus and spoke the Greek phrase kai su, teknon, meaning "you too, my child."

There is still debate whether or not it was shouted in shock or said as a warning. On one hand, Caesar may have been amazed to find a close friend like Brutus trying to kill him; on the other hand, he may have meant that Brutus would pay for his crime in the future for this treachery. Either way, the words were Greek, so leave "Et tu, Brute" for Shakespeare.

What does this " : " mean between numbers ?
bazaltina [42]
A colon, when placed between two numbers indicates a ratio.

For example, 1:1 is saying that something is at a 1-to-1 ratio.

This would be better in the Math section though, but I'm happy to answer.

We had traveled across the sea to the new land, hoping to
Basile [38]

Answer:

The answer is letter A, fit for civilization.

Explanation:

Imperialism is an ideology whereby a nation extends its rule towards other foreign nations. It is being done for political reasons and to control and influence the colonized nation. The country is not simply after the settlement intention, but it is after theoretical dominance and financial reason.

Imperialistic attitude is all about the political influence in expanding one's territory towards other nations. "Fit for civilization" is an imperialistic attitude because the colonizing nation always made changes in the colonized civilization according to how they see fit. One example of this is Great Britain's imperialistic ambition of setting up trading posts in India. They changed India's civilization by providing such trading posts. It strengthened the British economy, but caused economic plunder to the Indian economy due to the war which occurred between the Kingdom of Mysore and the British East India company.
