Explain the two events that turned the United States against the Central Powers. Why did the United States declare war on German
laiz [17]

Answer:

I can tell you why the U.S. declared war on Germany. Germany sank many American merchant ships. Also, the Zimmerman telegram caused anti-German feelings to rise.

Explanation:

Germany sank many American merchant ships that were around the British Isles. Also, Germany sank the Lusitania, which killed 1,200 people (including 128 Americans), so President Wilson threatened to break off all diplomatic relations if Germany didn't stop sinking passenger ships, which caused tensions to rise. Finally, the Zimmerman telegram was a telegram that Arthur Zimmerman (Germany's foreign secretary) sent a note to the German minister that was in Mexico, telling him to urge Mexico to attack the U.S. if the U.S. declared war on Germany.

Why were so few books available during the Middle Ages?
AveGali [126]
Few books were available in the middle ages because there was no such thing as printing back then and all books were handwritten, causing them to cost more because of the amount of labor being put forth to create them. Writing books by hand doesn't really sound like a fun job lol so there were limited amounts of books made because there were so few people writing them
