Answer:

D) y = 2x – 8

Step-by-step explanation:

In this problem, the initial condition is -8, because the start of the day, the morning, was -8 °F. This characteristic is really important, initial condition are expressed as y-interception, which is the constant term of a linear function.

So, in this case, the viable answers are B or D, it depends on the ratio of change.

The problem states that as the day went on, the temperature ROSE 2 degrees each hour, that expressed an increasing behaviour of 2. Mathematically, that means the independent variable must be negative.

Therefore, the right answer is D., because it has a positive rate of change, and it has -8 as y-interception or initial condition.

you start with -8 then rise 2 per hour, so this would be +2x.

D. y = 2x - 8

So I'm guessing that the x2 is your way of saying 2 is the exponent right? In that case the equation would be 8x^2 + 12x
Well you would have to pull out the gcf which in this case will be 4x after pulling out the gcf you should get 4x(2x + 3)

I will give you 100 points if you can answer this

(66×578)÷3368=55÷77=???
erma4kov [3.2K]
(66✖️578) ➗ 3368=55➗77

P parentheses
E exponents
M multiplication
D division
A addition
S subtraction

You would do (66✖️578) first since it is in parentheses
66✖️578=38,148

38,138➗3368=55➗77
Since there are no exponents or multiplication you would do division

38,138➗3368= 11.3236342
55➗77=0.7

11.32 does not equal 0.7
So this equation would be false

Hope this helps! :3
