The height of the traingle is the same as the height of the rectengle which is 8 inches. The base of the rectangle is 13 and the base of the rectangle plus the base of the traiangle is 17. To find the base of the traingle we do 17-13 which equalls 4. We then input these numbers into the equation (1/2)(b)(h) which is (1/2)(8)(4) which equals 16. The area of the rectangle (104 inches) plus the area of thetriangle (16 inches) equal 120.
