Answer:

chocolate= 180 students

vanilla= 120

strawberry= 210

mango= 210

Step-by-step explanation:

The chocolate section of the pie chart is at a right angle (90 degrees), which means a quarter of the students prefer chocolate

720/4= 180

The vanilla section is 60 degrees which is 2/3 of 90

180/3=60

60x2=120

the mango and strawberry sections represent whats left which is 420 students. The sections are equal to each other so they're each 210 students

Teresa, Eric, and Ryan sent a total of 99 text messages over their cell phones during the weekend. Eric sent 3 times as
faust18 [17]

I'll use t for the messages Teresa sent, e for messages Eric sent, and r for messages Ryan sent.

Therefore we have, t+e+r=99.

From the text we also know:

e=3r ; r=t+6

If we substitute in the original equation we get:

t+3(t+6)+t+6=99; By simplifying it we get

5t=75 , therefore t=75/5=15.

Since Teresa send 15 messages,Ryan sent 6 more then here, so he send 21. Eric sent three times the

messages Ryan sent so he sent 63 messages. If we add them together 15+21+63, we get the total of 99 messages.

What must be true of the side lengths in order to build a triangle with only two angles the same size?
ale4655 [162]

Answer:

A triangle with two angles of the same size is an isosceles triangle. So two of its sides are going to have the same measure and the third different. The length of the sides will depend on the height of the measure of the given angles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Isosceles triangles can be classified into an isosceles right triangle, isosceles obtuse, isosceles acute depending on the measurements of its internal angles.

Help me find the slope
shusha [124]

Answer:

-3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope is defined as \frac{rise}{run},

So the line goes down 6 instead of rising, making the rise negative: -6

The line goes over 4, making the run: 4

So -6/4 or -3/2

-5x=60

The first thing we want to do is to divide -5 on both sides. We do this because -5x, is the same as -5 times x and we want to do the inverse of that.

After we divide on both sides, we get    x=60/-5

We know that 60 divided by -5 is -12.

Therefore our answer is:      x=-12

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5= n + 2

We always want to get the variable to be alone, so if we subtract by 5 we would be doing the opposite of getting the variable alone. Although, if we subtract by 2 on both sides, we would get the variable alone and the answer would be 3=n

Therefore our answer is:       False

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2(x-7)

By looking at this question, we see x being subtracted by 7. Then we see that 2 is being multiplied to that.

Therefore our answer is:        C

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The product of a number and 4 increased by 8

In these types of questions, it's smart to break it up. We will start with the product of a number and 4. We know that a number is a variable and if we look at the multiple choice answers we can see that the variable they chose to use is n. We also know that a product is when numbers get multiplied. So that means 4 and n get multiplied which turns into 4n.

For the other part of the problem, we know that increased by 8 means added my 8. Now that we got our answers, we put then together.

Therefore our answer is:       A    4n+8
