BlackZzzverrR [31]

Clyde Kennard was an African American Activist that campaigned for desegregation in American colleges. He decided to return to Mississippi to continue his studies because he wanted to be with his mother on the 20-acre farm he got her through downpayment.

  • When Clyde left the University of Chicago and returned to Mississippi, to be with his mother, he tried applying to the all-white school, Mississippi Southern College in 1955.

  • He was continuously rejected on the account of his being black.

  • He was later framed for theft and imprisoned on false charges. He died on July 4, 1963, from colon cancer.

We’re did the Western Hemisphere people come from
Alona [7]

The first humans to reach the Americas emigrated across the Bering Straits between Alaska and Siberia during a time when the Ice Age had locked up so much of the world's water that the level of the sea was considerably lower than it is now, and North America and Asia formed a single land mass. No one is quite sure when that was, but it may have been between 20,000 and 40,000 years ago. At any rate, the Sibero-Americans, whom we call "Indians" since the Columbus and his immediate successors thought that they were in India, came to the Western Hemisphere as Palaeolithic hunters and gatherers, just as all other humans were Palaeolithic hunters and gatherers.
