I see unity and variety in the fact that there are only three colors yellow,red, and orange. I also see unity and variety in the fact that the color orange is just red and yellow combined. these colors help attract attention to the reader.
They are all united by being the same object, but the diversity comes in with the colors being different. Either way, they all have the same functions.
