How do the feelings of the crew members change throughout “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”?
Deffense [45]

Answer: Their feelings change depending on the way they see the albatross.

Explanation:

<em>''The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”</em> (1798) is a poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It portrays an old sailor and supernatural events that he experiences at sea, upon killing an albatross.

When the crew members perceive albatross as a sign of good fortune, they get angry with the Mariner because he killed it. On the other hand, when they view the bird as the cause of bad weather, they are satisfied because it is dead. Finally, the crew members realize that they are punished for the death of albatross, and are mad at the Mariner.

I'll do anything and I mean anything if you help me!!!
Marina86 [1]

Answer:

The “American” Identity is created by living in America and having all the opportunities and luxuries that America provides for its people. The first Continental Congress met in 1774 and they served as a government for the thirteen American colonies. They met to oppose British taxes and policies. This formed American identity because it encouraged the colonies to think for themselves and not be so dependent on the British to give them what they want or need.Americans have not only defined themselves by their religious, ethnic and racial identity, but also by their individual freedom and common values. America has become a nation where its people can fight for what they believe in. Our founding fathers have formed America to be “the land of the free and the home of the brave”. Being apart of the American culture and living on the land founded by our leaders specifies the meaning of the American Identity.  In my opinion, the American Identity is shown through the ideas of its people, and their willingness to take risks.

Look at the last two lines of the excerpt above. Do you agree that there is “no sweeter sight
BaLLatris [955]
I cannot read the lines, because you did not post them, however, you gave me enough to work with to understand your question.

My answer would be:

Yes, I do agree. There is no sweeter sight than a man's own native country. Just imagine soldiers coming back from war, imagine how relieved and relaxed and happy they must be to see the land they call home.<span />

Read the excerpt from part 4 of the odyssey witch statement best explains the metaphor in this excerpt
Leona [35]

The correct answer is the second option: The whirlpool is compared to a mouth, showing its menacing threat.

In this excerpt, the narrator is describing his disastrous and terrifying experience of witnessing a whirlpool with some other "men". To describe their fear of being pulled down into the sea by a whirlpool, the whirlpool is described as having a "yawning mouth", ready to "devour" (swallow up) the narrator and the men with him.
