What is the area of the figure?
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

The answer is 88 square inches. (A)

Step-by-step explanation:

The shape is broken up into 2 right triangle sand 2 rectangles.

The area of the triangle is 12. You subtract the way it is cut in half where the dashed line that sais (4 in.) so you take 7 - 4 = 3. Now that the 3 is left meaning it is the height  of the triangle. and then the bashed line that says

(8 in.) is the base of the triangle. Multiply that and it is 24 but you have to divide by 2 which gives you 12. since there are "Identical" triangles what I do is add 12 which will give you 24 again bc of both triangles combined.

As for the rectangle is both dashed lines (4 in. And 8 in.) multiply it gives you 32, again since here is another "Identical" rectangle you add 32 + 32 = 64 (Both rectangles combined)

Lastly add 64 + 24 = 88

First it is reflected in the x axis (beacuse the x value becomes  negative but the y values stays the same)
second its dilated by a factor of a half  ( the sides of the figure are reduced by a half)
then its translated 2 units to the left and 2 units upwards

Find the rule solve for n 20,24,n,32
Rasek [7]

Answer:

28

Step-by-step explanation:

20,24,n,32

We add 4 to get from 20 to 24

Add 4 to get from 24 to n

24+4 = 28

Add 4 to get from 28 to 32

This is correct so n = 28

A snail travels at a rate of 2.35 feet per minute. . • Write a rule to describe the function.. • How far will the snail travel i
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

s(t) = 2.35t and distance covered in 5 minutes = 11.75 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

A snail travels at a rate of 2.35 feet per minute.

We have to write a rule to describe the function.

If a snail covers the distance of 2.35 feet in a minute then in t minutes distance traveled by the snail will be = 2.35×(t) feet

Now if we define the distance as a function then function will be

S(t) = 2.35(t)

and distance covered by the snail in 5 minutes will be

Distance = 2.35×5 = 11.75 feet

Therefore the function is S(t) = 2.35t and distance covered in 5 minutes is 11.75 feet.

If 0 lies in the quadrant IV. What can be the value of cos 0?
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

If 0 lies in the quadrant IV. What can be the value of cos 0 ? The angle 0 does not lie in any of the four quadrants, it lands directly in between quadrants I and IV. The value of cos 0 is always 1.
