When Malcolm chosed to study words because be be cant express what he felt due to his poor reading and writing skills he states that “I saw the best thing that I can do was to get hold of a dictionary— to study, to learn some words”(X#11). Malcolm X chosed to study some words using the dictionary in order to express what he truly felt. After that, Malcolm X realized that he found his freedom he said that “In fact, up to then, I never had been so truly free in my life”(X#17). By studying words using the dictionary, it helped Malcolm x to improved his language skills, the exposure of his personality, and helped him to met and understand his inner self.
