Which of the following statements about the number line is true?
nadya68 [22]
d. Numbers get smaller as you move to the left on the number line.

And conversely when the number moves along to the right it increases by interval of typically 1. Why does this happen? Because this phenomenon is the illustration of how number are ordered and hierarchical. Integers can better explain the numbers beyond 0. The existence of the negative numbers which is obviously less in value than the real numbers 1 , 2 , 3 and so on.

Find the minimum product of two numbers whose difference is 17.
what are the numbers?
Marysya12 [62]

A number is an arithmetic value that is used to represent a quantity and calculate it. The two numbers will be 17 and 0, so the product of the two is minimal.

What are Numbers?

A number is an arithmetic value that is used to represent a quantity and calculate it. Numericals are written symbols that represent numbers, such as "3."

Given the difference between the two numbers is 17. Let the first number be zero, then the second number will be 17. Thus, the product of the two numbers will be 0, which is the minimum.

If the first number is further increased such as 1, then the other number will be 18, and the product of the two will be 18, which is greater than zero.

Hence, the two numbers will be 17 and 0, so the product of the two is minimal.

PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUESTION ATTACHED
DIA [1.3K]

Angle-5 and angle-7 are 'vertical angles', so they're equal,
and we can write ...
                                           10x- 9 = 9x

Subtract 9x from each side: x - 9 = 0

Add 9 to each side: x = 9

Now that we know what 'x' is, we can find the size of Angles-5 and -7 .

Angle-7 = 9x = 81° .

Now look at Angle-6 ... the one that's the answer to the problem.

Angle-6 and -7 together make a straight line, so they must
add up to 180°.

                                     Angle-6 + 81° = 180°

Subtract 81° from each side: Angle-6 = 99° .
