How am I supposed to do this?
Arisa [49]

For literal equations you do not necessarily need a numerical answer. You just need to get the variable you are supposed to solve for on one side of the equation by itself. To do this you will follow the same steps you do when you normally solve for x (or any other variable)

<u>#9-Step by step</u>

<u>Q=25</u>\pi<u>h</u>

divide 25\pi on both sides of the equation

Q/25\pi=h

h=Q/25\pi

Since his can't be simplified any further this is your answer

<u>#11.</u><u> </u><u>y=7m+6</u>

First subtract 6 over to the other side

y-6=7m

then divide the 7 over

(y-6)/7=m

m=(y-6)/7

<u>#13 A=(Z+7)3</u>

Divide the three over to the other side of the equation

A/3=Z+7

Now the 7 is free to be subtracted from both sides

<u>(</u>A/3)-7=Z

<u>#17. (2x/5)-9=6</u>

First add 9 to both sides

2x/5=6+9

2x/5=15

Multiply both sides of the equation by 5

2x=5(15)

2x=75

Divide by 2

x=75/2

x=37.5

tester [92]

Answer:

6 Oranges and 2 bottles of juice.

Step-by-step explanation:

For the amount of oranges: 18÷3=6 (take 1/3 of 18).

For the bottles of of Juice: 18÷9=2 (take 1/9 of 18).

in this question, if the numerator is 1, then just divide the number of girls by the denominator (eg. 3 and 9 in this case).
