Describe U.S. exports to Europe during the war years of 1914 to 1917

History

Although World War I began in 1914, the United States did not join the war until 1917. The impact of the United States joining the war was significant. The additional firepower, resources, and soldiers of the U.S. helped to tip the balance of the war in favor of the Allies.

When World War I broke out across Europe in 1914, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the United States would remain neutral, and many Americans supported this policy of nonintervention

United States did not concern itself with events and alliances in Europe and thus stayed out of the war. Wilson was firmly opposed to war, and believed that the key aim was to ensure peace, not only for the United States but across the world.

How is Wheatley's "On Being Brought from Africa to America" historically significant? Select all that apply.
Vinvika [58]

the poem by Whitley is significant because of the two reasons:

D) It is among the first literary works published by an African American.

) It is the first literary work to assert African equality to whites.

Whitley uses a narrative unfamiliar to many of her peer slaves of the time to deliver her message in her eight stanza poem. She appears calm, composed and appreciative of conversion to christianity, while using its fundamental believes and ethics to counteract the issue of black hatred that had permeated good white christians.
