In this case, we have a large population of lizards that live on an island. These particular lizards can either have an all-gree

n tail or a tail with a black tip. In the large population there are many of each type, but one day, two green-tailed lizards and three lizards with black-tipped tails were picked up by a sailor and dropped off on an island that had no lizards of this kind. It was noted that the black-tipped lizards could use the black tip of their tail to distract predators while they made a quick escape and this particular island had many predators. The lizards began to breed and eventually produced their own large population after a few years. Make a prediction about what you might find if you visited this island after several years based on what you have learned.

This is a complicated question that's a little easier if you break it down!

Island One:

- Lizard tails are all green or<em> </em>black tipped.

- This island has many of each type.

Sailors Moved:

- two green-tailed lizards

- three black-tipped lizards

On Island Two, we know that the black-tipped lizards are more likely to survive since the question tells us that "<em>the black-tipped lizards could use the black tip of their tail to distract predators while they made a quick escape and this particular island had many predators". </em>

The green tailed lizards do not have this advantage, and the predators are eating more of them because of this (especially if there are a lot of predators!).

We also know that the lizards on the island were able to reproduce and form a large popuation- not all of them were eaten by predators.

<u>Based on this information we can predict: </u>

There are going to be a lot more black tipped lizards (or they may <em>all</em> be black tipped lizards) because they have an advantage in surviving longer.

Answer:

"The most significant effect of population growth in Europe from 1700 to 1800 was urbanization and the creation of large cities which was marked by poverty, crime, and poor sanitation.” Historians have identified several causes for the Industrial Revolution, including: the emergence of capitalism, European imperialism, efforts to mine coal, and the effects of the Agricultural Revolution. Capitalism was a central component necessary for the rise of industrialization.

son4ous [18]

Population growth is a change in population at any time and can be calculated as a change in the number of individuals in a population using "per unit time" for measurement.

<h2>Further Explanation </h2>

The term population growth refers to all species, but always refers to humans, and is often used informally as a demographic designation of the value of population increase, and is used to refer to world population growth. Population growth itself is influenced by factors of birth, death, and migration. In demographics, there is a term increase in a natural population and an increase in the total population. Where natural population growth is only influenced by births and deaths, while total population growth is affected by births, deaths, in-migration, and out-migration (emigration).

Back to the population growth rate. The rate of population growth each year in a certain period is called the population growth rate expressed in percentage units (%). This population growth rate also reflects the rate of population growth of an area every year. The higher population growth rate indicates a faster rate of population growth. Conversely, if a low population growth rate shows a slow population growth rate.

When population growth can exceed the loading capacity of an area or environment, the results end with overpopulation. Disruptions in human populations can cause problems such as pollution and traffic congestion, even though they can be covered by technological and economic changes. This region can be considered "underpopulated" if the population is not large enough to manage the economic system.

Growth value = (end population period - initial period population) / initial population period

Growth ratio = Growth value X 100%
