In your opinion, why did it take until 1944 for Allied troops to liberate prisoners of concentration camps? How was Nazi Germany

To some extent, they didn’t know what was going on. Different groups didn’t want to get involved/many weren’t strong enough to. Nazis were brainwashed by propaganda, as well as their youth, and many didn’t realize what was going on wasn’t okay because of it(the rest of them being sick in the head). https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/liberation-of-nazi-camps
