President Wilson was one of the signers of the Versailles peace treaty in 1919. This treaty ended World War I. President Woodrow Wilson wanted to establish a series of idealistic policies (The Fourteen Points) that included democracy, free trade, and self-determination of states. Instead, he actually got the forced reduction of German Territories, Colonies, and Armed Forces, among a series of interventionistic policies.

At least what I remember, they didn't want their cattle to escape and steal so they invented barbed wire to keep the heard together and in one place. it also kept in troopers from crossing into there territory. barbed wire was invented in 1874 and was very useful.

Not sure about the Latin American part but the Middle East. It was Hillary Clinton who started the Taliban in Afghanistan. Its main aim was to remove the threat or Russia from Afghanistan but later it got out of hand and now we have The Terrorists. They were brainwashed into believing they were doing "Jihad" the Islamic term for Upholding Righteousness.
