So because the shape is broken down into right triangles we’ll just use the formula

A = ab/2

and because all of our “a” and “b” are the same

a = 4
b = 3

once we’ve found one triangle

A (one triangle) = 4•3/2
A (one triangle) = 6

we can multiple our answer by 4 to find the total of our whole shape

A = 6•4
A = 24
