You are going on a camping trip with your family for 3 days. You decided that you need 5 batteries for your flashlights. At the

Proportion: 3/5=9/x or 5/3=x/9
work: 3*x and 5*9, which is 3x=45
divide 45 by 3, to get x= 15. therefore you will need 15 batteries for a 9 day trip
