Answer: When a mutation alters a protein that plays a critical role in the body, it can disrupt normal development or cause a medical condition. A condition caused by mutations in one or more genes is called a genetic disorder. In some cases, gene mutations are so severe that they prevent an embryo from surviving until birth

A mutation can effect the genes by creating new genes to pass on. Mutation happens when the pattern of a DNA chain is broken. As you might get similar characteristics from you parents (half from mom and half from dad), you can also notice many different features that they don’t have. Then, you could pass those unique features down to your kids, and further on. I hoped that helped! :D

Who invented the microscope and was the first person to describe cells?
labwork [276]

Answer:

The cell was first discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665 using a microscope.

The first cell theory is credited to the work of Theodor Schwann and Matthias Jakob Schleiden in the 1830s.

Hooke had discovered plant cells -- more precisely, what Hooke saw were the cell walls in cork tissue. In fact, it was Hooke who coined the term "cells": the boxlike cells of cork reminded him of the cells of a monastery.
