A state constitutional provision conflicts with a federal statute. The: Select one: a. federal statute is supreme. b. federal st
stepladder [879]

Answer:

This correct answer is a.

Explanation:

Though states can pass laws which apply locally, the Federal government has the final say when there is a conflict between a Federal and a State law. The supremacy clause, article VI of the constitution, says that any Federal law that prohibits a certain practice supersedes any kind of state law. For example, if the state law permits the use of marijuana but the federal law issues a prohibition, the state should comply with the federal law or the federal government can stop the state legislation.

Is Post-Apartheid South Africa living up to its promises?
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

Apartheid, the Afrikaans’ word for segregation, brought white supremacy to a whole new level as the rest of the continent was decolonizing following World War II. The National Party government treated non-whites as second class citizens and in the case of Africans, non-citizens. By confining Africans to the ‘homelands’ of Bantus tans, the National Party was able to justify stripping away any basic rights Africans had in the country of South Africa. The international community refused to recognize these homelands, and pressure eventually began to build from all sides to allow equal rights for all residents of South Africa. Pressure came in the form of economic sanctions, expulsions from international organizations, and the divestment of foreign companies.

I believe the answer is: assimilation

in this context, assimilation refers to the process when new information is obtained and being mixed with existing knowledge. The process of assimilation does not necessarily make people underctain the core concept of the new concept, which make it almost impossible for them to utilize it into practical things in their current state of development.
