Determine the rhyme scheme of the following poem.
jeka94
The rhyme scheme consists of a discernible pattern of rhymes (words corresponding to other words in sounds) at the end of the lines, or in the middle. In this case, the rhyme scheme is as follows: ABBAABBACDCDCD. Look at the ending words of each line, and you'll notice the pattern: "saint" - "grave" - "gave" - "faint" (the first rhymes with the fourth, and the second rhymes with the third); the same with "taint" - "save" - "have" - "restraint". The rest of them: "mind" - "sight" - "shin'd" - "delight" (the first and the third rhyme with each other, just like the second and the fourth), etc.

How can you use a vocabulary notebook to practice the meaning of new words?
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

Your vocabulary notebook can be used to practice the meaning of new words everyday. When you find words, you can add them in your notebook, write the definition, and the synonyms/antonyms. Let's just say you want to revisit a word because you didn't know its meaning. You then would turn to the page in your notebook and review it.

1. Try to figure out the definition by looking at its prefixes and suffixes.

2. Write the words from a textbook's glossary, and write it down in the notebook.

3. You write synonyms and the antonyms for each of your words.
