3 0

Answer:

1) one real solution

2) no real solution

3) two real solutions

4) no real solution

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to determine the number of real solutions for each quadratic equation without solving.

ax^2 + bx +c=0\\D = b^2-4ac\\\text{If D is positive there are two real solutions}\\\text{Pif D is zero then there is one real solution}\\\text{if D is negative then there are no real solution.}

1)

p^2 + 7p + 33 = 8 - 3p\\p^2+10p+25=0\\D = 10^2 - 4(1)(25) = 0

Thus, the quadratic equation has one real solution.

2)

7x^2 + 2x + 5 = 0\\D = 2^2 - 4(7)(5) < 0

Thus, the quadratic equation has no real solution.

3)

2y^2 + 10y = y^2 + 4y - 3\\y^2+6y+3=0\\D = 6^2 - 4(1)(3) > 0

Thus, the quadratic equation has two real solutions.

4)

4z^2 + 9 = -4z\\4z^2 + 4z + 9 = 0\\D =4^2 - 4(4)(9) < 0

Thus, the quadratic equation has no real solution.

The diameter of a circle is 14 inches. Find the circumstance and area use 22/7
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Circumference= 44 in

Area= 154 in²

Step-by-step explanation:

\boxed{circumference \: of \: circle = 2\pi  r}

Radius

= diameter ÷2

= 14 ÷2

= 7 in

Circumference of circle

= 2( \frac{22}{7} )(7)

= 44 in

\boxed{area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2} }

Area of circle

=  \frac{22}{7} ( {7}^{2} )

= 154 in²

What is the answer for #37
denis-greek [22]
They want to make a total of $1200.
55*10=550
55*8=440
440-550=990
1200-990=210
210/35=6
So they should sell the other plants for $6 each.

PLEASE HELP ME
earnstyle [38]
So here you're using system of equations. You can solve systems by graphing, elimination, or substitution. Ill use substitution. First lets solve for x. take the second equation and add y to both sides to get x by itself:
x - y = 75
x = y + 75 now plug y+75 in for x in the first equation
x + y = 743
(y +75) +y = 743 solve for y
2y +75 = 743 subtract 75
2y = 668 divide both sides by 2
y = 334
now plug this into any of the 2 equations to solve for x i chose the second one
x - y = 75
x - 334 = 75  add 334 to both sides
x = 409
This means x, sold before the tournament is 409 and y, sold at the door is 334. That means the assistant is wrong and accidentally flipped the two answers
