During this time, some of human history's greatest thinking, writers, statesmen, researcher, and artists thrived while global research opened up new countries and cultures for European trade. A bridging of the gap between the Middle Ages and modern civilization is credicted to the Renaissance.

The Agriculture revolution greatly increase the supply of food. This lead to an increase in population, helping to create highly dense population centres where trade can occur.


All this helped to eventually pave the way for the Industrial revolution.
