The _______ gave the huguenots freedom of worship.
inn [45]

Answer:

Edict of Nantes

Explanation:

The Edict of Nantes was a document that granted the Huguenots (Calvinist Protestants of France) substantial rights in France, including the freedom of worship. The document was significant because it treated the subject with an open mind to the idea of secularism and tolerance. This encouraged the development of a nation regardless of religious unity. The edict also marked the end of the religious wars of the second half of the 16th century.
