At home he was not the favorite son of his parents as they had the attention of Erik his older brother. Paul's family moved from their home where he had memories of zombies to a new house. His memory of the house was caused by his brother Erik who ill-treated him by having to put paint in his eyes. Erik was not a good boy as his parents thoughts because he had evil tendencies which were later discovered.
