Mayan Priests :-

  • They were the keepers of knowledge.
  • They learned and taught reading and writing.
  • Priests had many roles and duties including performing religious ceremonies, instructing sons of nobles, keeping the calendars, studying astronomy and astrology, divining for the king, nobles and commoners and prophecy.

Mayan Warriors :-

  • They had stone weapons and weapons made of wood and shells.
  • To capture sacrifice victims for their particular city-state.
  • Warriors fought battles only during the day.
