The slope is m=2 in the first picture. Can be done by rise/run.

The second graph has an undefined slope. Using rise/run would get the run value = 0 and that'd make the slope undefined because the denominator cannot be 0.

The first hexagon is dilated to form the second hexagon. Select answers from the drop-down menus to correctly complete the state
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

Scale factor = 4 and it represents an 'enlargement'.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given a hexagon which is dilated to form the second hexagon.

Now, as the size of the original hexagon is 0.2 units and the size of the dilated hexagon is 0.8 units.

As we get that 0.2 × 4 = 0.8

Therefore. it can seen that the original hexagon is dilated by 4 units in order to obtain new hexagon.

Moreover, dilation refers to the transformation that changes the size of the image.

Now, as we are changing the size by a scale factor of 4. So, this dilation is increasing the size of the original hexagon.

Hence, this dilation represents an enlargement.

We need to find the probability that a selected animal will be an threatened given they are a bird: P(T/B). So,

P(T/B)= \frac{P(T\cap B)}{P(B)}

Where, Probability of threatened animal that are birds:

P(T \cap B) = \frac{15}{475}

and probability of bird=\frac{90}{475}

Therefore, P(T/B)= \frac{P(T\cap B)}{P(B)}

= \frac{\frac{15}{475}}{\frac{90}{475}}

=\frac{15}{90}

=0.1667

=16.67%

Which is the simplified rational expression for 9x-5/4x-1 + (3x+8/4x-1 - 5x+3/4x-1)
Morgarella [4.7K]

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{9x - 5}{4x - 1}  + ( \frac{3x + 8}{4x - 1}  -  \frac{5x + 3}{4x - 1} ) \\  \\  =  \frac{9x - 5}{4x - 1}  + ( \frac{(3x + 8) - (5x + 3)}{4x - 1}) \\  \\ =  \frac{9x - 5}{4x - 1}  + ( \frac{3x + 8 - 5x  - 3}{4x - 1}) \\  \\  =  \frac{9x - 5}{4x - 1}  +  \frac{5 - 2x  }{4x - 1} \\  \\ =  \frac{9x - 5 + 5 - 2x}{4x - 1}  \\  \\  \red{ \boxed{  \therefore \:  \frac{9x - 5}{4x - 1}  + ( \frac{3x + 8}{4x - 1}  -  \frac{5x + 3}{4x - 1} )=  \purple{\frac{7x}{4x - 1} }}} \\
