1) -3x-4y=10 ==> - 3x = 10+4y ===> 3x= -10-4y==> x=(-10-4y)/3
Now replace x by its value in 2)

2) -6x+y=-16 ==> - 6[( - 10- 4y)/3] + y = -16 ==> -2[(-10-4y] +y =- 16
+20+8y+y =- 16==> 9y = - 16 - 20 ==> 9y = -36 & y = - 4.

Now replace y by (- 4) in any of the 2 equations & you will find x = 2

I REALLY NEED HELP!!

Find the area of the composite figure
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

I honestly don't know how to solve anything like this but my best guess is 135

Step-by-step explanation:

I used the area of a circle formula to find the area of the two semi-circles, and then added it to the area of the rectangle. (Once again, I really do not know xD)

Two runners are saving money to attend a marathon. The first runner has $112 in savings, received a $45 gift from a friend, and
saul85 [17]

The right answer is: d.112 + 25m + 45 = 50 + 60m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let m be the number of months

For First Runner:

He already has 112 in savings and got 45 from a friend so these will be constant values and as he will be saving $25 each month so

112+45+25m

For Second Runner:

He already has $50 in saving and ill save 60 each month so

50+60m

In order to find that when there accounts will have same amount, the expressions for both will be put equal

112+45+25m=50+60m

The value of m will give us the number of months after which the accounts of both runners will have same amount.

Hence,

The right answer is: d.112 + 25m + 45 = 50 + 60m

Need help on number one and three
Naya [18.7K]

An example for #1 would be that: 15 is divisible by 3, but not 9. every third multiple of 3, (9, 18, 27,...) is divisible by 9 because 9 is three times the size of 3.

For part two the first number that I thought of is 23.

What are the domain and range of the function?
Naily [24]

Answer: Domain: (-inf,inf) Range; [-4,inf)

Step-by-step explanation: Domain is x values possible and range is y values possible. Quadratics always have a domain of (-inf,inf) and the range starts from -4 going up infinitely. and if -4 is included then we use a bracket therefore, [-4,inf). Also, infinity always has a parenthesis.
