<u>During the Middle Ages, the Islamic Empire was a strong economic center that had developed trade</u>. Muslim merchants were traveling all over Africa, China, and Western Europe for trading, and their influence was therefore spread globally.

<u>That is why the usage of Arabic coins – dinars – spread across different regions.</u> It is suggested that it was a common currency in many places. Archaeologists have found many of Arbanic coins all over, some even thousands of miles away from the locations of the Islamic Empire.
