Is Homework Truly Beneficial? Select the correct answer. Read the introductory paragraph of an argument. What type of the claim

is the author making? Two decades ago, researchers believed that homework had a negative impact on students' physical and emotional health; yet many students are still bogged down with hours of homework as early as the second grade. According to research by several universities, elementary students spend an average of 3 hours per week doing homework. The same studies revealed that the average high schooler spends over 22 hours a week on homework. In fact, students today spend more than double the time on homework compared to students two decades ago. Sadly, as homework time doubles, student performance continues to decline. So how then is homework helping? Homework is harmful and not the answer to student success. ОА. solutions claim OB. fact claim ОС. cause claim OD value claim

Who seems to be more important than the others; why? Write down the animals from the most to
DENIUS [597]

Pigs and dogs sit in the first chairs, while the other animals sit in the other chairs.

What does this organization mean?

 • According to pigs, the smartest animals are the most important and that's why they should sit in the front seats.
 • This determines a ruling class, which will have to dominate the others.
 • So the pigs and the dogs sit in the first seats.
 • The other animals are organized in the back chairs, which shows their lack of importance and significance, within that context.

This division reinforces the idea defended by pigs. This idea states that everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.

Write an account about a scary experience that you have had.
Sophie [7]

Answer:

Have you ever had a scary experience? Or perhaps you would like to share with us a hair-raising adventure you've had... It is funny how we tend to remember unpleasant experiences more often than cheerful ones. However, the most important thing is that we learn something from these experiences so we wouldn't have to go through them again. Asking ourselves these questions can help us avoid such unnecessary situations.

If there was something you would have done differently during this situation, what would it have been?

Were you the one to blame for this experience or did you find yourself thrown in the middle of it?

How could you have avoided this frightening experience in the first place?

Explanation:

A Frightening Experience

Last year I went to my grannies’ house because my parents were at work. I had to sleep there. The weather was terrible, raining with thunder storms.

As my grandparents and I were eating dinner, a bolt of lightning hit a tree that was just under the kitchen window. The tree caught fire immediately. Since the kitchen curtain was flying outside because of the wind, it soon caught fire too and in a split of a second, flames were dancing all around the kitchen. We could not escape through the kitchen. My grandparents hugged me and protected me in the corner, praying that someone would notice the fire and come to rescue us. We were very frightened.

My grandmother and I searched for the telephone but unfortunately we could not find it since it had been burnt. The neighbours saw the house burning and called the police and firemen. They came immediately. While firemen tried to stop the fire, the broom cupboard fell on my grandfather ‘s head. He fell unconscious, my grandmother and I started crying for my grandfather. About half an hour late the firemen stopped the fire and came in the house to save us. The police called my parents, and an ambulance for my grandfather. Finally it was all over.

This was my most frightening experience and I wish that it will also be my last one. I never felt so scared in my life.
