Answer:

Slope = - 2.5

Step-by-step explanation:

A right angled triangle is drawn to meet the best fit line at any point on the graph,, the point at which the triangle meets the best fit line, provides the values for the rise and run used to calculate the slope, the ris ubsyge cgbage in y values and run is the change in x values ;

Rise, y2 = - 1 ; y2 = 4

Run ; x2 = 3 ; x1 = 1

Rise = y2 - y1 = - 1 - 4 = - 5

Run = x2 - x1 = 3 - 1 = 2

Slope = Rise / Run = - 5 / 2 = - 2.5

draw 8 lines that are between 1 inch and 3 inches long. measure them to nearest fourth inch and make line plot
Andre45 [30]
Hey there Kevy, unfortunately, we can't really draw your lines for you. What I think you need to do though is draw your eight lines and measure them to the nearest quarter inch, and then fill out a plot like the one I've attached, except using numbers 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2, 2.25, 2.5, 2.75, and 3. Then just mark where the lines you drew fit into the plot.
Hope that helps!

A square has a diagonal of length 8 cm . find the length of each side of the square as a surd
Bingel [31]

let the length of side of the square be a

by the Pythagoras theorem a^2 + b ^2 = c^2

taking b=a, a^2 + a^2 =2a^2

= a\sqrt{2}

a\sqrt{2}= 8

2a^2 = 64

a^2 = 32

a = \sqrt{32}

a = 4\sqrt{2}
