A crew ship has 148 rooms with fifty on each of the two upper decks and the rest on the two lower decks.An upper deck room cost
AURORKA [14]
I'm not sure what your four step plan is, but here is how I would solve it:

50 rooms on each upper deck x 2 decks = 100 rooms

100 rooms x 1000 per room = 100,000

That leaves 48 rooms on the 2 lower decks, so 48/2=24 rooms per lower deck

48 rooms x 900 per room = 43,200

100,000 + 43,200 = $143,200 (maximum room sales amount)

Hope this helps!! :)

Tim is dividing up a 2 ½ pound bag of nuts into smaller portions.

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  a.  10

  b.  5

  c.  3 with 1/4 pound left over

Step-by-step explanation:

You can find the number of 1/4 pound bags by dividing 2 1/2 pounds by 1/4 pound. In decimal, this is obvious:

  2.5/0.25 = 10

Using fractions, it is ...

  (2 1/2)/(1/4) = (5/2)/(1/4) = (10/4)/(1/4) = 10/1 = 10

__

a) Tim can make 10 1/4-pound bags from 2 1/2 pounds.

__

b) It is worthwhile to note that a 1/2-pound bag is equivalent to two 1/4-pound bags. So, the number of 1/2-pound bags will be 10/2 = 5.

Tim can make 5 1/2-pound bags from 2 1/2 pounds.

__

c) It is worthwhile to note that a 3/4-pound bag is equivalent to three 1/4-pound bags. So, the number of 3/4-pound bags will be 10/3 = 3 1/3.

Tim can make 3 3/4-pound bags from 2 1/2 pounds, with 1/4 pound left over.

A quarterback on a football team throws the football down the field. The height (h) in feet of the ball when it has traveled a h
zimovet [89]
Use the equation

t = -b / (2a)

where:
a = -16
b = 30.4

Plug these values into the equation.

b)

Evaluate h(t) at the time of maximum height. The time of maximum height is the value found in previous part.

c)

Set h(t) equal to 3 and solve for t.

3 = -16t2 + 30.4t + 5

0 = -16t2 + 30.4t + 2

Solve this quadratic equation for t. I suggest you use the quadratic formula to solve for.
