she went down the slope 10.2 meters, -10.2

then she jumped down to the lake 1.5 meters, -1.5

-10.2 - 1.5 = -11.7 meters.

so she pretty much went 11.7 meters down from her original location.

Ethan writes 2/3 of a page in 5/12 of a minute. How much time does it take him to write one page
Nataliya [291]
2/3 of a page in 5/12 of a minute

Multiply both fractions by 3/2

\frac{2}{3} \times \frac{3}{2} = 1

\frac{5}{12} \times \frac{3}{2} = \frac{5}{4} \times \frac{1}{2}=\frac{5}{8}

So, Ethan can read 1 page in 5/8 of a minute.

Luisa and Connor had $360 altogether . After Connor gave Luisa 2/5 of his money, she had the same amount of money has he did. Ho
Liula [17]

Answer:

$300

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's say that L is the amount of money Luisa had in the beginning, and C is the amount of money Connor had in the beginning.

C + L = 360

C - 2/5 C = L + 2/5 C

Simplifying the second equation:

3/5 C = L + 2/5 C

1/5 C = L

Substituting into the first equation:

C + 1/5 C = 360

6/5 C = 360

C = 300

Connor originally had $300, and Luisa $60.  Connor gave Luisa $120, and they both had $180.

1. A particular shade of orange paint has 2 cups of yellow
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

6 cups of yellow paint and 9 cups of red paint are required for 3 batches of orange paint.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

A particular shade of orange paint has 2 cups of yellow  paint for every 3 cups of red paint.

We need to find the numbers of cups of yellow and red paint  needed for 3 batches of orange paint.

For one batches of orange paint we need 2 cups of yellow and 3 cups of red.

So for 3 batches of orange paint we need:

2×3 = 6 cups of yellow paint.

3×3 = 9 cups of red paint.

The required number line is shown below.
