Long, unbroken pages of text show authority and draw the reader into the writing
Liula [17]
As a writer and reader I disagree with this. Perhaps if you are writing for a scientific journal or business report, long blocks of text can seem like you have a lot of info. Generally speaking, especially in fiction and non fiction i think unbroken pages of text will best case scenario bore a reader, worst case scenraio burden and overwhelm  them with a lot of info so the feel daunted about continuing.

3. Why do you think Hale's words about seeking a cause for all that's happened "reach" John
kupik [55]

Answer:

Hale's stance on seeking an explanation for what is happening, reaches John because he is being tried without any concrete evidence, with nothing to explain the trial.

Explanation:

John Proctor was accused of witchcraft completely unfairly, yet he went to trial, with no evidence to back up the charges and even with the knowledge that Abigail accused him of revenge. This experience is reached by the words of Hale, who says, that it is necessary to look for an explanation for what is happening in the city, instead of causing the collapse that is happening.
