andre [41]

Vasco Nunez de Balboa was the first European to spot the Pacific Ocean. In addition, he helped found the first successful European colony on the American continent.

Balboa was born in Spain in 1475. He left for America in 1500 and settled for a few years on the island of Hispaniola (where Haiti and the Dominican Republic are today) in the Antilles. In 1510, he embarked with a group for a colony already established by the Spanish in present-day Colombia. Upon arrival, he discovered that the colony had been abandoned. Balboa convinced the few remaining inhabitants to go with him to Darién, in present-day Panama. There they created a stable colony.

Staunch southern proponents of states’ rights believed that states had the right of nullification. Which of the following BEST d
joja [24]

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

The doctrine of nullification was coined by Vice President of South Carolina, John C. Calhoun in 1828, by anonymously drafting a pamphlet titled 'South Carolina Exposition and Protest.'

According to the doctrine of nullification, the states had the right to null and void any of federal laws within state limits. In November, 1832, South Carolina adopted the Ordinances of Nullification making the tariff on imported goods null, void, and unconstitutional.

So, the best definition of nullification is in option B. Therefore, option B is correct.

makkiz [27]

Answer:

C. categorical data.

Explanation:

These houses are assigned into a particular category based on the number. For example, all of these houses ranging from 300 to 450 belong to the same neighborhood, and thus that is the category they share and all belong to. Other types of categorical data could include blood types, for example, or types of words (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.) - various categories, or groups that certain members might belong in.
