A lot of famous people from the African Community rose during this era to promote freedom and equality between the African Americans. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Andrew Goodman are some of the people who fought for these rights strongly. <span>

The effect that trade embargoes and the War of 1812 had on American industry was that there was no growth i<span>n American industry because Americans could not import British goods. It sort of stagnated until the embargo was over. </span>
